Cheeses:

There are about a hundred selections of cheeses that are a notch above standard cheese selections. There are many varieties of white cheeses, both soft and hard, aged white and yellow cheeses, some soft white cheeses that are mixed with nuts or fruits, such as cranberries, goat cheeses (soft/white), blue cheeses to name a few. Some things that are nice as cheese appetizers are:

Brie cheese baked in puff pastry
Camembert Cheese, plain or layered with grapes and almonds
Cream cheese with fruit chutney wrapped in puff pastry and baked
Cranberry cheese log
Blue cheesecake – contains bacon, blue cheese and parmesan cheese – is baked and then served cold, thinly sliced
Grilled Brie and Fruit Crostini
Date and Blue Cheese Tarts
Oriental Cheese Spread – Block of cream cheese marinated for three days and then coated with special oriental mixture
